Bake a Way Today is a mentorship program designed for teens, ages 12-17, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Bake a Way Today fuses together social and emotional learning lessons with the therapeutic benefits of baking.
Logo sketching

While designing the logo, I focused on creating a mark that feels soft, feminine, warm, and inviting. We needed something that evokes the nostalgic comfort of baking with your grandmother, while still resonating with an audience of young girls. After reviewing the first round of logos, the client was happy with both the type and color palette, but wanted to see the cake image softened. The client also expressed interest in having a couple different logo lockups.
REVISED LOGOS

After loosening the illustration style, I then chose to explore type that gave the logo a more monoline feel. The client was happy with the illustrations, but preferred the previous type choices. So I reverted the type, thinned out the linework to match, and presented the client with one final decision.
